Info for New Players
(Redirected from NewPlayers)
We are starting a campaign set in the Old Republic era using WOTC D20 rules from the revised core rule book. The time period will be just after the events of Episode I, but before any of the events of Episode II.
We are allowing all classes, including force sensitive characters. Your species can be taken out of the core rules as well as the Ultimate Alien Anthology source book, just be sure to clear it with the GM first.
We will be allowing prestige classes, so if that interests you ask the GM what prerequisites are needed if you require assistance.
What You Need
- Yourself
- A set of D20 dice which includes
- One twenty sided
- One twelve sided
- One double-digit ten sided dice and one single-digit ten sided dice OR two ten sided dice of differing colors.
- One eight sided dice
- Three or more six sided dice
- One four sided dice
- A character (see Dustin(GM) for details on rolling stats for your character)
- Your imagination and a desire to have fun!
- Also some interest in the Star Wars universe might be helpful :P
What You Need To Do
- Watch the Star Wars movies for inspiration. :P
- Decide which character you want to play. Pick a species and a class from the appropriate source rule books. Also take note as to which era we are adventuring in.
- Generate the statistics for your character. The GM can help you with this. All finished characters must be approved by the GM to play.
- Think about how you want your character to act. What kind of personality does it have? How would he/she react in certain situations? What are their goals and motives? Sometimes it helps to write a bit of a backstory to know where your character is coming from. This should help you slip into the role of your character during gameplay.
- Read over this wiki to gain information about our starting era, starting location, and player and non-player characters. This will help you get a sense of what your character will be dealing with in the upcoming adventure.
- Contribute to this wiki. Add your character's information and story, correct mistakes, and whatever else you can think of.
